The PI Firm Hiring Blueprint
How to define, screen, and place the roles that actually move your caseload.

Most firms either fly blind or drown in dashboards nobody acts on. The point of a KPI is not to measure everything. It is to surface the few signals that predict outcomes early enough to do something about them.
Open file counts tell you how busy you are, not how well cases are moving. Cycle-time metrics, such as days from sign-up to treatment, treatment to demand, and demand to settlement, reveal where files stall and which stage needs attention.
A number nobody owns is trivia. Assign each KPI to a role, review it on a regular rhythm, and pair it with a clear threshold that triggers action. The goal is a short, honest conversation every week, not a report that gets archived.
